It's easy to forget, but Radiohead almost never made it into this decade. After OK Computer the Oxford quintet refused to do the obvious and become a conventional stadium rock act: instead they started again, binning most of the guitars along the way. Initial sessions for 2000's electronica-influenced Kid A were characterised by creative deadlock and rows that led to rumours they might split. What emerged positioned them as perhaps the era's only big band capable of genuine surprises. This even applied to the business of music with 2007's In Rainbows: the pay-what-you-like digital honesty box. The album itself saw a softening of approach, with the guitars plugged back in, but it was no less impressive than Kid A. Nor was the marvellous track they released this year – Harry Patch (In Memory Of), a tribute to the last surviving British soldier of the Great War – some kind of throwaway simply because it appeared online. So Radiohead ended the Noughties as they began, challenging themselves and, in the process, everyone else. When we speak at the end of November,
bassist Colin Greenwood is in good spirits, fresh from tinkering with what may become a new album
and relaxed about his band's singular route through the past 10 years.( Colin Greenwood's interview with the Guardian. Politics, album format, rumors about the band breaking up...Twilight. )

For sure, we can expect a new Thom song...well, not really new. He's going to cover someone, fyi.

Syracuse.com: "It's interesting that both Lambert and Boyle were runners-up on their respective TV talent shows yet are busting sales records. American Idol 8 winner, Kris Allen's debut, opens at No. 11 on this week's Billboard 200 after sales of 80,000 copies."
Steve Barnett's Columbia Records and Susan Boyle have a lot to be thankful for this weekend. And that goes for you two, Adam Lambert and Lady Gaga.

Betty hasn't been getting enough love - so I'm here to give it some!
1) Featurette on Season 4
2) Clip of America talking about Betty's transition this season
3) Article about Erica Mabius the Boston Globe did last week.
We sat down with America Ferrera who took time out of filming her hit show "Ugly Betty" to talk what about the new season. Also check out America Ferrera gives us details how they are going to make Betty a little more attractive and how will that affect the show. How does she feel being a role model to girls and women. Check It Out!
Eric Mabius says a lot about his career and a little about fashion

NORTHAMPTON - Over the course of a brilliantly sunny Saturday - the kind of day when the sky appears even more cerulean than usual thanks to vivid yellow and scarlet leaves that stubbornly cling to branches - it becomes very clear that Eric Mabius has a tendency to overextend himself.
Mabius, best know for his portrayal of fashion magazine heir and playboy Daniel Meade on ABC’s “Ugly Betty,’’ woke up early to drive home to Massachusetts. This fall, he and his wife, Ivy, moved back to Western Massachusetts, where they first met as freshmen at Amherst Regional High School, to raise their two sons. Whenever Mabius isn’t filming in New York, he’s driving back here to spend time with his family.
On this particular Saturday, Mabius drove home, then jumped back in the car to hit a photo shoot. After five hours of playing model, he’s settling back with beet salad and calamari to talk about his move to Massachusetts, his four seasons playing Daniel Meade, and, of course, fashion. After dinner, he’ll meet a high school friend at a nearby bar, and try to get home before his sons get to bed.
“My wife will tell you I have a tendency to do a lot in a very short amount of time,’’ he says, at which point Ivy pipes in: “You think so?’’

who_daily reading list.
EDITOR'S NOTE: Because of the high posting volume and the quantity of information linked in each newsletter,
who_daily will no longer link fanfiction that does not have a header. For an example of what a "good" fanfic header is, see the user info. Please note, the fic must have a header with the fic, not just in the link post, in order to be added to the newsletter. Thank you.

She's got moves! First Lady Michelle Obama displays her hula-hooping skills in Washington, D.C., during a Healthy Kids Fair on the White House lawn. More than 100 school children attended the October event, where Obama helped educate them about exercise and nutritious foods.( let's reminisce. & rant about other awesome photos that didn't make the list )

Jay-Z refused to walk the red carpet at the Victoria’s Secret show, The New York Post claims. The rapper who attended the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in the Big Apple last Thursday night decided not to be photographed with the lingerie models because he didn’t want to upset his wife Beyonce, who is currently on tour in Ireland.
"Victoria’s Secret begged, but Jay-Z refused," a source said. "He explained it was out of respect for Beyonce."
Jay was also given his own booth at the after-party so that he would not be photographed anywhere near the models.
TBH I have never heard a Jay-Z song. I don't listen to pop music, that's not my style.

Pulling in $17.9 million just yesterday, Variety is reporting that New Moon has now passed the $200 million mark at the US box office:
The domestic B.O. for “New Moon” easily eclipsed that of the first “Twilight” which amassed $192.8 million in 20 weeks.
In the first three days of the holiday frame beginning Wednesday, “New Moon” has grossed $41.4 million.
The record holder for the best Thanksgiving frame haul still belongs to the first “Harry Potter” which made $82.4 million from Wednesday through Sunday.
